This is my page here where I discuss my obsession for the Japanese Rock Music Culture that I've become quite fond of as of this past year. This music is totally a different style from what you people out there are probably used to listening to. Visual Kei and JRock come from Japan. The definition of Visual Kei is this:

Visual Kei (ヴィジュアル系, vijuaru kei^?) refers to a movement among Japanese musicians,make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynousaesthetics. Some sources state that Visual Kei refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of J-rock (a term referring to Japanese rock in general), with its own particular sound, related to glam-rock, punk and metal. that is characterized by the use of eccentric, sometimes flamboyant looks. This usually involves striking make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics.

There are various different styles of Visual Kei, and as of 2007 a new movement of Visual Kei has come into the works, these types of bands are known as Oshare Kei and Nagoya Kei. As of yet there is no definition of the difference between a Regular Visual Kei band and Nagoya Kei, but the difference between Oshare Kei and regular Visual Kei is as followed. Usually an Oshare Kei band's music would be a lot more cheerful sounding, the clothes and hairstyles and makeup would also be more brighter then a dark type Heavy metal Visual Kei band like Nightmare, Rentrer en Soi and so on.
